Diddy a/k/a Puff Daddy has always been on the forefront of Hip-Hop culture, crafting out hit records for himself and a laundry list of other music icons. Despite his accomplishments, over time some rap fans have questioned Puff’s credibility as a producer. With that said, the word “producer” can be a loaded term in 2015, as many might equate it to simply beat-making. In a broader sense, producing a record is more about a vision of sound and putting the pieces together in order to get the most out of a session, which is deeper than the technical aspect of pushing buttons, keys or strumming a guitar.

Earlier this week, Puff surprised fans with a free album titled “MMM.” Originally slated to be his proper studio album, he later renamed the official set to “No Way Out 2” and opted to unveil MMM free of charge. Today, the mogul gives fans a look into his creative process, showing to what capacity he is involved with making a record.
