Shortly after the release of his critically-acclaimed Section.80 album, most of the music world knew that this young kid from Compton, Kendrick Lamar, was on to something. It’s interesting to back and look at the confidence and energy of a 24-year old Kendrick Lamar, before he stole the show on Dr. Dre’s comeback album, before he won 2 Grammys, before the platinum plaques.
