Another day, another cover for Taraji P. Henson. Empire‘s leading lady is gracing The Hollywood Reporter‘s annual Beauty issue, alongside famed make-up artist Ashunta Sheriff.
Thanks to her bold and eclectic looks on the fan favorite Hip-Hopera, the Washington, D.C. native landed the number one spot on THR‘s list of Hollywood’s 25 Best Beauty Moments of 2015. Cookie Lyon’s undeniable fashion following sparked thousands of Halloween costumes, complete with contrasting textures, animal prints and kissable red lips, in addition to thousands of YouTube tutorials and trend setting looks.
In the feature, Sheriff, Henson’s on and off-screen make up artist, described Henson’s career-changing character as “uninhibited, and that is giving women the courage to try new things. She isn’t afraid of the trends, whether it’s a dark plum or bright turquoise eye shadow.”
