It may have been Veterans Day five days ago but we should always honor those who served this country. One way you can do that today is taking a listen to Typ-Ill’s new album, entirely produced by Statik Selektah. A veteran himself, Typ-Ill, shares some of his war stories in great detail over the always powerful boom bap from Statik. But he not only goes into describing the explosions and madness around him, but he also lets you into the mental conflicts he faced on the battlefield. Of course there are straight up bars on this one but the new angle of mixing in a soldier’s point of view after returning home should be enough to hold your attention throughout the project. And that’s just the half of it.
