According to a report by TMZ, a judge has sentenced former Subway spokesperson Jared Fogle to 15 years in prison on the charges of child porn and child prostitution.
What makes this case interesting is the fact the plea deal he struck was for a maximum of 12.5 years, though Judge Tanya Walton Pratt was more than unimpressed with the defendant’s claim that weight loss contributed to his hypersexuality and fondness for children:
Fogle’s lawyer had an expert testify Fogle had a compulsive eating disorder and when he lost weight he replaced that compulsion with hypersexuality. There were 12 victims of child porn and 2 victims of child prostitution.
Fogle is set for release in 2029.
