While you were sleeping, Ciara was busy dropping two new singles: “Special Edition” and “Oh Baby.”
“Special Edition” is a modern take on holiday tunes, with Ci Ci paying tribute to the importance of family during the season. It’s earthy material, similar to what we heard when she was new to the game: lots of references to Atlanta, her ‘hood and her family.
The second single, “Oh Baby,” seems to be a passionate love letter to current boo Russell Wilson. The track, produced by Dr. Luke, talks about finding a love unlike any she’s ever known or thinks she’ll ever find again.
Ciara’s midway through her “Jackie” tour (which will resume in March 2016) so we suspect these singles to be bonuses, although they could possibly hint at a re-release of the Jackie album in a deluxe edition. We’ll keep our eyes out, but in the meantime check out the tracks below.
