Last night, the New England Patriots faced off with the team directly behind them in the AFC East, the Buffalo Bills, but this week’s Monday Night Football game was significant for more reasons than a match-up between 1st and 2nd place teams. For the first time since his awkward departure from the New York Jets–the team the Bills did away with last week to earn their 2nd place spot–new Buffalo Bills coach Rex Ryan would be taking on Tom Brady, and his arch nemesis, Pats head coach Bill Belichick.

Buffalo made a game of it, but Brady and company made the plays they needed to in the fourth quarter to improve to 10-0, including an audible play apparently named “Rex Ryan.”

We’re not kidding. In the above clip, you can hear Tom Brady changing the play at the line of scrimmage to “Rex Ryan” on one of the first plays of the game. Rex can take some consolation in knowing that the play ended as a run to the right side for no gain.
