Sometimes, Jason Kidd forgets he isn’t a player anymore.

Can you blame him? The sure-fire Hall of Fame former Net, Sun and Maverick is only 3 years removed from his last season as a player, and it’s hard to remove that fire from a guy that’s as fierce a competitor as Jason Kidd. Last night, we were all reminded of that. After a controversial call in which Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo was called for a foul–Kidd thought G-Bo, as Giannis is fondly (and more conveniently) referred to by his teammates, blocked a shot cleanly–Kidd got in the face of the referee who made the call. He was already teetering on the edge of being called for a technical, but for a split second, Kidd lost his cool and slapped the ball out of the ref’s hands, and had to be held back by several of his players. Is there a quicker way to get ejected from an NBA game? Probably not.

The Bucks would go on to lose the game to the Sacramento Kings 129-119. Kidd is probably looking at a hefty fine and/or suspension. Not that he’ll care.
