Not even Drake would’ve thought that his battle on wax with Meek Mill this past summer could possibly yield him a Grammy Award, but that’s exactly what happened when the nominations were revealed earlier today.
The Canadian rapper’s “Back To Back” track, the second dart aimed at MMG‘s Meek Mill in their ongoing lyrical feud was nominated in the Best Rap Performance category of the 58th Annual Grammy Awards. It’s still uncertain why the uber-popular “Hotline Bling” was overshadowed by the scathing diss record, but it’s defintely another point scored for Team Drake, who could very well be taking home a golden phonograph in February of next year.
