Fired Oklahoma City police officer Daniel Holtzclaw has been found guilty on 18 counts of rape and sexual assault.
The 29 year old then Oklahoma City officer, was charged with 36 counts of charges ranging from rape to forcible oral sodomy against victims who were all African American and one as young as 17, sobbed in the courtroom as the judge read the guilty verdicts and jury recommendation of more than 236 years in prison.
The jury, which was comprised of four women and eight men-all white, reached their decision after four days of deliberation. Holtzclaw, who will remain in the custody of Oklahoma County jail, is scheduled to go back to court January 16, 2016 for formal sentencing.
