The super trailer to new reality show Growing Up Hip Hop has been released, a show chronicling the lives of the music mogul’s children attempting to build their own names in the industry and escape the shadows of their parents.
The cast features Angela Simmons (daughter of Rev Run and niece of Russell Simmons), Romeo Miller (son of Master P), Damon “Boogie” Dash (son of Dame Dash), Kristinia DeBarge (daughter of James DeBarge), Egypt Criss (daughter of Sandra “Pepa” Denton from Salt-N-Pepa and Treach from Naughty By Nature), and TJ Mizell (son of the late Run-D.M.C. DJ, Jam Master Jay).
The show isn’t all about the cast’s business endeavors—there also seems to be a little drama between the cast mates, involving a budding romance between Romeo and Angela (until Kristinia steps in the picture).
Along with their starring roles, it’s also executive-produced by Angela Simmons and Romeo Miller, along with Master P. The show will premiere January 7, 2016 on WE tv.
