There was always bad blood between division rivals the Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers but things were taken up another notch last month when the two teams faced off. Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict (#55) tackled Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell which ended his season. The Steelers were fuming after feeling that Burfict celebrated the season ending hit.

Following that game, Steelers linebacker Vince Williams took to his Twitter account and directed some comments toward Burfict which some deemed to be death threats.

I catch Vontez on south beach im painting that boi on sight.

He later deleted the tweet but did not apologize for what he said. The time since that last game has done nothing to quell the tensions as Bengals defensive back Adam “Pacman” Jones took to his Instagram prior to Sunday’s game and hurled some expletives at the Steelers.

I’m sitting here looking at the thing on ESPN. I guess Pittsburgh got all gangsters now. Mike Tomlin needs to tell his team to shut the f*** up and play football ‘cuz ain’t nothing gonna happen to 5-5 (Vontaze Burfict) on the field or off the field. Dig that. Y’all wanna go report so report that, b***hes.

That’s how I feel !!!! Fuck Pittsburgh !!!!

Outside of a minor pregame scuffle between the teams, everything was on the up and up as the Steelers took home the victory 33-20. Looks like they did just as Jones asked of them. Be careful what you ask for. Jones still stands by his sentiments though.
