Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee Taraji P. Henson is returning as host of BET’s Celebration of Gospel.
Henson hosted last year alongside Steve Harvey. The Empire actress expressed how excited she is to be back, saying, “I’m thrilled to return to BET’s Celebration of Gospel. It is truly a celebration of the best in music with love and hope. A celebration of what brings us all together and reminds us of what is important.”
The number one gospel celebration is back after a year hiatus and will feature familiar acts such as Chaka Khan, Gladys Knight, Kirk Franklin, Tye Tribbett, Yolanda Adams, Erica Campbell, Tamela Mann and many more.
The taping will be at the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 7 P.M. PST and premieres on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at 8 P.M. EST on BET.
