Instead of following the theme of police brutality that has become popular over the past few years, this time it wasn’t the cop that became violent. In the video, you can see Indian River County Sheriff’s Deputy Christopher Lester attempting to apprehend Andrew Coffee before being punched across the face and then shot. Before the incident, you can hear Officer Lester caution Coffee to not “go reaching for anything”. Both men survived the incident, but Lester is in the hospital and in good condition while Coffee, who was also shot, has undergone surgery and is in recovery.
