Realizing that every dog has its day, the Detroit player was constantly on the ball, determined to strike while the iron was hot rather than be caught chasing his tail. Sean’s flying start led to several new feathers in his cap including what he and many critics consider to be his best work thus far, his third album Dark Sky Paradise, which has spawned six gold records to date; a live-streamed House of Blues performance that attracted the presence of his mentor Kanye West, Jay-Z, Jennifer Lopez, Justin Bieber, and Chris Brown; a co-headlining worldwide tour with J.Cole; his first VMA for “One Man Can Change the World,” named Best Video with a Social Message; and a rare onstage appearance from Eminem at his annual homecoming show in November.

But don’t expect him to get complacent and burn out now. With news breaking today that his next LP is among the first G.O.O.D. Music projects slated to be released in 2016, it’s safe to assume he’s just warming up.
