Jerry Seinfeld‘s Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee starts its 7th season with an interview with President Barack Obama. The series has been critically acclaimed and celebrated for its easygoing nature with the variety of high caliber guests it has had since its start. There is a strong trend of President Obama open to being interviewed on a variety of different comedy media outlets.
His 2014 interview with Zack Galifianakis on Funny or Die’s Between Two Ferns broke the internet. Before that, President Obama made several stops throughout his two terms in office on the various late night shows like The Daily Show, CBS Late Show With David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, and Jimmy Kimmel Live.
President Obama continues the trend with his latest interview with Seinfeld. In the interview, Seinfeld asks the President a myriad of questions while driving a 1963 Corvette Stingray Split Window Coupe on White House property. Questions like the different people he interacts with, walking around the White House in underwear, relations with Congress. The President even drives the corvette around the property. There was an attempt by both Seinfeld and President Obama to actually go out an get coffee, but they were refuted. However, they did end up drinking coffee in a room in the White House.
