The Los Angeles Lakers have had a poor showing for the first part of this NBA season on the court as they struggled to find their footing amongst the very stacked western conference. Much of the talk around the franchise has been centered around superstar Kobe Bryant‘s decision to retire at the end of the season. It seems that the tides might have turned for the Lakers in 2016 and Kanye West might have a lot to do with that. So far, the team is 2-0 in 2016 and swingman Nick Young a/k/a Swaggy P credits his shoutout West’s recently released track “Facts,” for the squad’s success.
Nick Young credits Lakers going 2-0 partly to Kanye West shouting him out on "Facts." Young: "That's our anthem before the game."

The line in question you ask? See below
On the field I’m over reckless, on my Odell Beckham/ 2020, I’ma run the whole election … Tell Adidas that we need a million in production/ I done told y’all, all I needed was the infrastructure/ Now we hottest in the streets, it ain’t no discussion/ James Harden, Swaggy P runnin’ up the budget
Young’s teammates Jordan Clarkson and Julius Randle also gave their insight.

Kanye’s shoutout will be put to the test soon as the Lakers are set to face off against the reigning NBA Champion Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night.
