Everyone was abuzz going into this weekend as the Powerball numbers would be announced for the jackpot worth nearly $950 million. Amazingly enough, as the numbers 16-19-32-34-57 and Powerball number 13 were drawn, there was no winner. The odds of winning were 1 in 292.2 million. This means that the next drawing this coming Wednesday is expected to payout a whopping $1.3 billion.
Officials at the helm of the Multi-State Lottery Association stated that there was a 75% chance that someone would have hit the jackpot on Saturday. Beginning on November 4, 2015 at a starting point of $40 million, the pot continued to ballon up to this monstrous figure. On Friday alone, there were $277 million worth of tickets purchased. Yikes!
