Uber recently took to their blog and revealed that they will be temporarily slashing prices on Uber rides in select cities for the rest of the winter. The price cutting will vary based on the demand per city with the highest being 20% off. The reasoning behind the price drop is based on their research which suggests that there are fewer clients of the transportation service immediately after the holiday season, partly because some may be scaling back due to heavy holiday spending or simply just not going out as much in the cold weather.
Though this may be music to the ears of some Uber riders, the company was very clear in saying that if the demand for Ubers increases with the price cuts, they will go right back up again. Enjoy while it lasts. For more info click HERE.
