DJ Mustard‘s venture into new sonic realms has is marked clearest by nothing more than his new single, the Travi$ Scott-featurd “Whole Lotta Lovin’,” a Dance/EDM/Pop hybrid that is surely a deliberate attempt to veer away from the Bay-inspired rap jams that brought him international notoriety. It’s a seamless transition, especially considering Travi$’s thick auto-tune croons–which include a clever interpolation of CeCe Peniston‘s “Finally”–of a whirlwind romance, which come in the midst of abundant talk of his cryptic relationship, both personal and professional, with Rihanna.
