45-year-old Chris Pugh pulled the ultimate stunt move on local police after he failed to appear in court late December over a DUI charge. A warrant for his arrest was soon issued and instead of turning himself in, he texted a selfie to the Lima police department with a caption that read “Here is a better photo that one is terrible.” Surprised by Pugh’s brazen disregard, police posted the selfie of Pugh, sunglasses and all, to the their Facebook page.
It does not stop there though. Chris Pugh even did an interview at a local radio station from an undisclosed location, joking with the shows hosts saying that he is currently hanging out with drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, who was captured the by Mexican soldiers the following day.
Speaking on his previous mugshot, Pugh shared:
They had me looking like I was a Thundercat or something, man, like James Brown on the run
He went on to say that his favorite childhood characters used to say “Run, run as fast as you can. You can’t catch me I’m the gingerbread man.” In addition to stating that, he expressed that he feels like a “hometown hero” with his newfound popularity around town. Aside from his DUI case, Pugh is also of interest in an arson and vandalism case respectively.
