More information is being revealed in regards to the incident as two of the suspects told police that the victim was having sex with her father at the Brooklyn area park. They allege that they approached the two and asked the father “Can we have some of that?.” The dad, who was allegedly drunk at the time, had been drinking with his daughter before the attack, and fled the scene upon being asked the question, they say.

Two of the teens told Police that they had consensual sex with the victim and her father later returned and drunkenly threw a bottle at them. Aside from the suspects accounts of the events, the victims father did go to two nearby delis looking for help, but the workers was unable to understand him as he was too drunk to clearly verbalize. Video also shows the man and his daughter entering a bodega prior to the attack and purchasing 22-ounce cans of beer.

Worker at Zaida Deli and Grocery:

He was swaying side to side. He asked me, ‘Lend me your phone.’ I said no,’’ said a worker in one of the shops

Surveillance footage inside one of the delis show the man talking to two of the workers but he did not appear to be in any distress. It is then that he walked out of the store and flagged down a police car and alerted them of his daughter’s attack.

Another revelation is that the victim tried to flee when police arrived and initial refused to go to the hospital, even biting one of the officers when they were able to place her inside of an ambulance. While at the hospital, she consented to a rape kit test and stated that she suffered from bipolar disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder. She told police that she had reconnected with her father after being adopted and they were drinking near near the handball court “to be away from police.”

So far this is the only new information that has been released to the public but sources confirm that there definitely was a skirmish at some point between the father and the 5 young men, one of whom was carrying a gun.
