New York rap staple and Bad Boy Records capo French Montana will star in his first-ever feature film when Queen Latifah‘s indie romantic comedy, The Perfect Match, hits theaters in March.
The movie, which also features Terrence Jenkins, Paula Patton, and Lauren London, was co-produced by Jenkins and is directed by Billie Woodruff, who’s responsible for the direction behind Honey and Barbershop, the latter of which Latifah starred in. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film plot centers around what happens when a “successful playboy meets his match,” and the movie was shot last summer in Los Angeles.
This marks the first big screen look for Montana, who before has made appearances on small screen episodes of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, and Ridiculousness. On the music tip, we continue to await Montana’s proper sophomore album, Mac & Cheese: The Album, which has often been delayed since its original expected release in December of 2014.
The Perfect Match will also star Joe Pantoliano (The Sopranos, The Goonies) and Kali Hawk (Couples Retreat, Get Him to the Greek).
