For over a year, fans have pleaded with Isaiah Rashad for new music, as the Chattanooga, Tennessee native has rarely been heard from since signing to TDE in late 2013, and releasing his first and only mixtape-album, Cilvia Demo, a few months later in January of 2014. Demo, a stellar project and thorough introduction, featured standout cuts like “Shot U Down” and “R.I.P. Kevin Miller, and solidified Rashad’s status as an appropriate addition to Top Dawg Entertainment’s crew of lyrical specialists.
Earlier this month, TDE head Anthony Tiffith teased a new Rashad music video on Instagram, and yesterday, Rashad quietly released his new single, “Smile,” to iTunes. No word yet on how soon we’ll be receiving Rashad’s new project, but today the corresponding music video for “Smile” has been released, and you can watch it above.
