Andre Drummond is having the season the Detroit Pistons envisioned when they drafted him ninth overall out of Connecticut in 2012.
Drummond is averaging 17.8 points and 15.3 rebounds a game, which leads the league. Because of his recent success, the Pistons have been pushing hard to get Drummond in the mix for NBA All-star voting. Wisely, they’ve used the trend of taking sound bites from Barack Obama‘s speeches to match the words of popular songs. Last week, they used Obama remixing Future and Drake’s “Jumpman.”
Recently, they used Dr. Dre‘s classic hit “Forgot About Dre,” which makes perfect sense because Andre Drummond is trailing Carmelo Anthony by just over 7000 votes.
NBA All Star voting ends this coming Monday.
