Last night, Saved By The Bell actor Dustin Diamond turned himself in to complete a 120 day jail sentence he received for concealed weapon and disorderly conduct charges when he got into an altercation in a Wisconsin bar and another bar patron ended up stabbed.
39 year old Diamond, who plays the nerdy sidekick “Screech” on 90s sitcom Saved By The Bell, will spend the next four months inside of the Ozaukee County Jail after being sentenced last summer to serve his mandatory jail time. Last month, he relinquished his appeal of the disorderly conduct conviction and agreed to start serving his sentence, which includes work release, on Jan. 15.
“I sincerely apologize to everyone involved,”Diamond said at the time of his sentencing. “This was the single most terrifying experience of my life … This is all I’ve been able to think about for the last six months.”
