The 90s was an era of triumph for Bowie, a victory lap, if you will. He was known now as a storied worldwide icon revered by throngs and throngs of people around the globe. Still wearing bright colors and tight pants, Bowie performed to millions of adoring music lovers while proving that fashion was second nature and always had been. 1997 saw the featuring of a Union Jack coat designed by Alexander McQueen on the Earthling album cover, and an embellished and shining drape costume on stage at Phoenix Festival in the UK.
