Today, we have news that Benny Boom has finally found someone to play Faith Evans‘ role: Grace Gibson. Gibson recently appeared in a musical that also featured Tyrese and Angela Bassett, Black Nativity, while she was still a student at Berkelee College of Music. She is also the daughter of Lynn Whitfield, known best for her roles in The Josephine Baker Story–which earned Whitfield a Golden Globe nomination–and Gone Fishin’.

In addition to Gibson, Boom also snagged another Walking Dead actress, Laura Gohan–“Maggie”–to play the role of Leila Steinberg, the tenured record executive that became Tupac’s first manager.
