Yesterday, news broke that Jamie Foxx was one of two people that pulled a 32-year old man from a flipped, burning truck just outside his home in Los Angeles. The driver, Brett Kyle, would later be charged with suspicion of driving under the influence, and is lucky to be alive after driving at a “high rate of speed,” and having his truck spiral out of control, flipping several times.

Just a day after Foxx’s heroic act, he met with Kyle’s father and was subsequently interviewed by KABC, and described in detail what happened Monday night, and how quickly the truck went up in flames after Foxx and one other person pulled Kyle out of it. Kyle’s father, Brad Kyle, was visibly broken up by the recent sequence of events, and mentioned the fact that had it not been for Foxx, his son–who has two siblings–would’ve lost his life. You can watch the interview clip above, and see a snapshot of Brad’s emotional meeting with Foxx.
