The David Ayer-directed Suicide Squad, one of the most anticipated DC Comics films of all-time, is finally hitting theaters this August, and last night a brand new trailer, clocking in at a smidge over 2-and-a-half minutes, was released.
Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto and more star as the “worst of the worst” villains in Suicide Squad, and in this new trailer, Viola Davis‘ character is determined to unite their depravity in an effort to save the world. What could go wrong, right? It’s a fantastic trailer, and disarmingly clever and humorous dialogue is seamlessly worked into eye-popping action scenes, and in the above trailer fans get another glimpse of Leto’s green-haired “Joker,” which has been one of the more talked about roles since them movie was announced.
