Cam’ron‘s been relatively quiet over the past year, releasing just one project, a joint EP with Taylor Gang‘s Berner, Contraband, and a few guest verses. However, considering the amount of music Killa has on ice–projects with A-Trak, Smoke DZA, and a follow-up to his 2004 Purple Haze album have already been announced–there’s no reason to believe he’ll be quiet for much longer.
Enter a brand new music video, “U Wasn’t There,” which finds Cam revisiting the timeline of his lengthy, successful career, including the tales of Dipset‘s beginnings, which Cam says were drug-funded, and his relationship with Big L, Mase, and others. It’s Cam’s “Through The Wire,” and you didn’t know you needed it–until now.
