When Lil Wayne and Birdman were spotted together at Drake‘s New Year’s Eve party, many presumed their beef was not only squashed, but that Weezy’s $51 million lawsuit filed against Cash Money in January of 2015 for unpaid fees had officially been dropped as well.

Then, when they appeared onstage together at Club LIV in Miami this past Sunday, Birdman had the following to say of Tunechi: “This my motherf***ing son and I’ma die for him, I’ma live for him, and I’ma motherf***ing kill for him. That ain’t gon’ never change, n***a. It’s YMCMB for life.” Done deal, right? Not so fast.

Despite their apparent reconciliation – even being photographed in cahoots yet again, during a studio session with Yo Gotti last night – TMZ reports that their “Young Money sources” claim Wayne and his legal team are still continuing with their demands for the release of Tha Carter V and payment of the full amount that they insist Weezy is owed.

Although he and Birdman’s personal relationship seems to be well on the mend, simply put, I suppose business is business.
