Police in Crossville, Tennessee say that a 7 year old boy has died after being shot in the head in a parking lot.
Four children were in a Verizon Wireless parking lot waiting for their parents when their 8 year old child reported shot the younger sibling in the head. The boy was flown to UT Medical Center’s trauma center for treatment, where he died.
Investigators say the incident appears to be an accident, but the chief of police says they will turn their findings over to the district attorney general. The Department of Children’s Services is also working on the case.
