The arrest began as a traffic stop while Bundy and a few of his cohorts were en route to a meeting at a local senior center. Shots were fired after FBI agents, Oregon State Troopers, and other law enforcement agencies stopped the vehicle on US Highway 395

Five other members of the terrorist group were also arrested including Bundy’s brother, Ryan Bundy, authorities say. Since January 2nd, Ammon Bundy’s group, self named the Citizens of Constitutional Freedom, infiltrated and occupied multiple buildings at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in Harney County, Oregon.

Bundy and his family have been known as a symbol of anti-government ideals since 2014. His father, Cliven Bundy, enticed a violent standoff between armed protesters and federal authorities who threatened to seize their cattle that were grazing illegally.
