Rihanna‘s highly-anticipated eighth-studio album is proving it was worth the wait.
This afternoon [January 29], RIAA officially certified Rihanna’s ANTI as a platinum record, with one million people and counting downloading the album.
“Rihanna, Samsung, and TIDAL would like thank the more than 1 million fans who have downloaded ANTI and made it an overnight success, exceeding expectations,” an official press release shared.
Rihanna’s gracious free download code is now expired, but fans can check out the album via TIDAL for exclusive streaming. According to a rep for TIDAL, the album has been streamed nearly 14 million times since its release late on January 27th into January 28.
Rihanna thanked her fans, saying, “1 MILLION in under 15 hrs!!!! NAVY R die!!!! Thank u to all my fans and @samsungmobileus”
