While it could easily be said that Kanye West has been the butt of a few wisecracks the past couple of days, what you’re about to hear is no joke: the Chicago MC will be returning to NBC’s Saturday Night Live next month, the network announced today. Joined by actress and comedian Melissa McCarthy in her fourth time hosting, West’s latest visit to the sketch comedy program will mark his monumental seventh appearance to date – a record for any Hip Hop artist as he surpasses Eminem, with whom he’s currently tied at six.

Set to take place on February 13 – two days following the release of his upcoming seventh solo album, WAVES, which will be premiered as part of his Yeezy Season 3 fashion show at Madison Square Garden and streamed live in movie theaters around the world – the SNL musical guest’s performance will occur almost exactly 365 days after the show’s 40th anniversary special last year, during which Kanye debuted the Sia and Vic Mensa-assisted “Wolves” in a medley that also included “Jesus Walks” and “Only One.”
