Majid Al Maskati and Jordan Ullman, collectively known as Majid Jordan, have been on a rise to prominence for quite some time now, and their come up has reached a new apex today with the release of their self-titled debut album, Majid Jordan. The Toronto duo are known best for being the architects of Drake‘s 2013 smash hit “Hold On We’re Going Home,” on which they wrote and sang background, and were one of the first acts signed to Drizzy’s OVO Sound label when it became an official subsidiary of Warner Music in 2012.

Since then, they’ve remained consistent, releasing the A Place Like This EP in 2014, featuring stellar pseudo-pop cuts like “Forever” and “Her,” and later, a single with Drake called “My Love” that flew largely under the radar. With a new studio album in stores today, it’s likely their notoriety continues to grow, and if it sounds anything like the singles they’ve already released–“Something About You,” “Learn From Each Other”–you can bet on it.
