Yo Gotti‘s new album, The Art of Hustle, is due out on February 19, and in the days leading up to it, Gotti has been strong, dropping his highly anticipated “Down in the DM” video yesterday, along with a remix of the song featuring Nicki Minaj, who attacked the Ben Billions instrumental with fervor. Since signing with Epic Records back in 2012, the Memphis native has made it a point to be more visible, and he’s enjoyed a great second major label stint, debuting in the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 with I Am, and notching his first-ever Top 40 hit with his current smash, “Down in the DM,” which will likely soar next week off the strength of the remix and the video.

As we approach his release date, we invited Yo Gotti up to our NYC offices to chop it up about everything from just how he got into Snapchat, which producers he locked in with off the album, and how the “hustle” that provides the theme for his newest LP has remained the same from the streets to the suites. Check out a lighter side of Yo Gotti above, and make sure you pre-order his new album, The Art of Hustle, right here.
