On Friday [February 6, 2016] evening, stars donned their best attire to celebrate their accolades in film, television, music and literature for the 47th NAACP Image Awards in Pasadena, CA.
In addition to a number of the leading ladies winning big in their respective areas within art and entertainment, the starlets were no slouches when it came to slaying the red carpet. Actresses such as Jada Pinkett Smith, Gabrielle Union, Sanaa Lathan and Taraji P. Henson to name a few sizzled in hot high fashions.
The evening proved to be a huge celebratory night for people of color who were honored for their contributions amid the controversy surrounding this year’s Oscars. The world simply could not get enough of the talented bevy of beauties who adorned our TV screens with looks ranging from dramatic (Smith in a teal number) to sleek and sophisticated (Henson, Tracee Ellis Ross, Kerry Washington and more) as well as the simply regal and radiant beauties such as Angela Bassett, Naturi Naughton, Union, Lathan and plenty more.
