Following the Denver Broncos 24-10 defeat of the Carolina Panthers at Super Bowl 50, much of the conversation revolved around Broncos QB Peyton Manning, and whether or he will retire, as well as Cam Newton‘s post game press conference, walking off the podium after sulking throughout. The fall out was swift for Cam, as he was chastised by sports pundits and fans, citing his penchant for dancing and celebrating throughout his MVP season but unable to face the media following the crushing defeat.
While speaking with NBC’s Today Show, Manning was asked about his interaction with Newton at midfield after the game and the 39-year-old shared his admiration for the Panthers QB, stating that he will be back in the big game, but he also stated that Newton was extremely humble following the loss. A stark contrast to the footage of him leaving his press conference. Peep the clip below.
