San Antonio Police have reported that 36 year old Antronie Scott was killed Thursday night by a police officer after it was thought that Scott was holding a gun, but it was only a cell phone.
Scott was allegedly wanted for possession of a firearm by a felon when he was seen by an undercover detective and an officer driving in an apartment complex.
Reportedly, video from the officer’s dash cam did not record the shooting because of the way the officer’s car was positioned, and officers in the precinct have not yet been given body cameras.
