Patti Labelle has been killing the scene for the past few months, from sending America into a frenzy to get a taste of her Patti Pies, the following up with Patti Cakes, and now she will join season 10 of “The Voice” as Christina Aguilera’s advisor. Christina is returning this season after taking a brief hiatus to spend time with her daughter, Summer Rain, and fiance Matt Rutler.
In typical Patti fashion, she is ready for the challenge and shooting for nothing short of a victory, she told People :
“I adore Christina, so I was honored and excited when she invited me to be a part of her team and we had a ball working together! And there is so much talent on our team … everyone else better watch out!”
The partnership between the two songbirds isn’t too far fetched considering Aguilera was apart of the amazing collaboration of the 2001 remake of Patti’s hit Lady Marmalade.
The new season of The Voice will air Feb. 29 at 8 p.m. on NBC, be sure to tune in and see if the Team Christina will take home a victory.
