When Dr. Dre sold Beats Music to Apple along with Jimmy Iovine for a $3 billion sum, the music industry’s attention immediately placed its focus on Beats1 radio and Dre’s involvement in Apple’s newest venture, Apple Music, which was teased as a streaming service, and a music platform focused on cutting out the middle man between the artist and the consumer. Fans weren’t disappointed, as new music was consistently released using Apple’s intimate “Connect” feature, and Dr. Dre himself released his first album in nearly 15 years, Compton: The Soundtrack, to commemorate the release of the N.W.A biopic, Straight Outta Compton. Not to mention, Dre began his own bi-weekly radio show–The Pharmacy–on Apple’s new radio platform, Beats1.

According to this new report, it looks like music isn’t the only content Dr. Dre is diving into with Apple and Beats1. The Hollywood Reporter says Dre will star and produce a new original Apple series, Vital Signs, that features “no shortage of violence and sex.” In fact, an episode filmed earlier this week featured a reported “extended orgy scene.” It will be interesting to see how Dre performs in this role, he’s previously had minor roles in movies like Set It Off and Training Day, and a major one in The Wash.
