After signing to Jay Z‘s Roc Nation label last year, Vic Mensa has been a little quiet, dropping just a few songs, “U Mad” and “No Chill,” featuring Kanye West and Skrillex respectively, and teasing his proper debut album, Traffic. Though more details on the album haven’t arrived, Vic is kicking off his 2016 with a bang, and entering the new year with some new music.
This new banger is called “Danger,” and it fits the theme of the most recent music the Chicago native’s released, complete with an upbeat, high-octane chorus and interpolation of his unique brand of social commentary. “Danger” is produced by Papi Beatz, and you can listen to it below. We’re looking to Vic to hopefully drop Traffic this year, his first project since his breakthrough 2013 mixtape INNANNETTAPE.
