While on a press run for their new book The Wait, Pastor Devon Franklin and Meagan Good spent their Valentine’s Day at One Church in Los Angeles. During their sit-down, there was a portion where audience members would ask questions. There was a very outspoken audience member who decided to tell Meagan she should “cover up.” Although she stated a disclaimer that it wasn’t “offensive” prior to her request, Devon stopped her mid-sentence and checked her.
Devon said:
“Wait a minute — no! No. Nuh-unh. That is not what we’re here for. She’s not gonna cover up, she gon’ wear what she wants to wear in the name of Jesus…amen. Amen? Amen. Yes she will! God bless you, we love you, I love you dearly but she has been as Christian as she is right now when she wore whatever she wanted to wear, so no we ain’t doing that!”
