Earlier this week, reports surfaced that backstage at Saturday Night Live, Kanye West had a meltdown when the NBC production staff altered his stage. Those reports were largely unconfirmed, but today, Page Six came through with the leaked audio of the entire incident, and though it doesn’t sound like Yeezy had a complete meltdown, things definitely turned sour for the “Highlights” rapper pretty quickly.

In the audio, which you can listen to above, Kanye can be heard venting about the altering of his stage, which apparently only added to his frustration stemming from reports that Taylor Swift was not okay with his use of her name on his T.L.O.P. song “Famous.” Though an e-mail from Swift’s team says Swift–who took home the Album of the Year Grammy on Monday and shaded West during her acceptance speech–was never okay with the lyric, Kanye said after an extensive conversation, Taylor urged him to use it. Commenting on that situation, Kanye refers to her as a “fake ass” during this brief audio clip.

The clip closes with Kanye screaming at someone about his level of influence, which is apparently worth 50% more than anyone ever, dead or alive, and will be worth 50% more than anyone else’s influence for the next 1,000 years.

Classic Kanye, TBH.
