The Golden State Warriors have been headhunting the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls 72-10 record all year. Coming into the Portland Trailblazers game last night at 48-4, the Warriors were looking to further propel their chase into the record books with their fast-paced, sharp shooting, small-ball tactics that has the NBA trying to catch up. But, the TrailBlazers and their point guard Damian Lillard had other plans.
Lillard torched the Warriors for 51 points while leading the Blazers to a 137-105 drubbing. Maybe it was an off night for the Warriors, who usually put the drubbing on other teams. But, one thing for sure for Lillard and the TrailBlazers; this game should give them all the confidence needed as the playoffs approach.
