J.Cole had fans who attended the opening night of Los Angeles’ second-annual Air + Style festival on Saturday in an absolute daze. After figuring out which side of the crowd was most engaged during his headlining set by asking concertgoers to repeat the chorus to his debut album’s lead single, “Who Dat,” at the top of their lungs, the Roc Nation MC paid homage to the legendary Notorious B.I.G. with a surprise performance of “Hypnotize” on what also happened to be the 21-year anniversary of another one of Biggie’s mega-hits, “Big Poppa.”

In other news, as we approach the final week in February, the anticipation for Jermaine to release new material is at an all-time high, thanks in large part to the not-so-subtle hint he included at the tail end of his “Black Friday” verse, which has kept us all on the edges of our seats ever since. Could he be getting ready to drop the follow-up to his platinum-selling and critically-acclaimed LP, 2014 Forest Hills Drive; a collaborative project with Kendrick Lamar; or perhaps some sort of single at the very least? Only time will tell.
