For anyone even remotely familiar with popular search engines, such as google, Yahoo or even streaming services such as YouTube, predictive search times are the drop down menu that predicts what you might be searching for, with the most popular items holding priority. It is common for Internet users to type an artist name and their most recent popular single appearing on command. Such was the case for Beyoncé’s popular new single “Formation,” until today.
A quick search on both Google and Youtube with “Beyoncé” will not yield any results for the highly popular hit as it has been completely disabled from predictive search. Though this is very peculiar, the controversy surrounding the song, music video as well as Bey’s super charged performance at Super Bowl 50 a few weeks ago has not died down. One could only assume that the two are linked.
