Tinashe has teamed up with Target, by way of helping to soundtrack a new commercial for the company’s spring campaign.
The song in question is a cover of Tom Tom Club‘s “Genius of Love” which was sampled on the iconic Mariah Carey song “Fantasy.” DJ Cassidy reworked the track and the result is a bouncy, fun rendition that doesn’t stray too far from the original’s 80s pop flavoring.
Tinashe is currently prepping for her Joyride tour, which kicks off this upcoming Sunday and takes the singer across the U.S. and the U.K. alike, with stops in Japan and Australia the next couple of months.
